Pauloski,\n \nAbout the program:\n The American Taxpayer Relief Act (ATRA) of 2012 seems to clarify estate planning, but our research suggests that the reality is far more complex. ATRA’s subtle complexities create potential traps for clients and their estate planners. For example, with income tax rates (for some) markedly higher, and transfer tax rates only marginally so, are there circumstances in which a step-up in basis at death may be more valuable than a lifetime gift? How useful is “portability” of the applicable exclusion—and is it more useful in some states than in others? And how might variables that seem to have little to do with estate planning—such as a client’s spending rate—affect a wealth transfer plan under ATRA? Thomas J. Pauloski, JD, National Managing Director of Bernstein’s Wealth Management Group, will use a series of case studies to explore these and other questions that arise under ATRA. Tom will use sophisticated wealth forecasting software to assess the planning opportunities and trade-offs.\n \nThis is an intermediate program and is a complimentary service sponsored by Kish Bank. Seating is limited.\n \n\n In addition to planned presentation material, additional estate planning handouts will be available covering post ATRA estate planning strategies:\n \n• Estate Planning Strategies After ATRA 2012\n • Estate Planning in Decoupled States Post-ATRA\n • The American Taxpayer Relief Act of 2012\n • Life Insurance After ATRA\n • The Estate Planning World Has Been Turned Upside Down by ATRA\n \n\n Daniel Keane, CTFA, AEP\n VP, Wealth Management Advisor & Trust Officer\n  \n O# 814.861.4660 x8277 | F# 814.861.5675 | C# 814.380.4405\ndaniel.keane@kishbank.com | www.kishbank.com\n 2610 Green Tech Drive, State College, PA 16803\n \n \n
