2014 Kish Bank Wealth Management Estate Planning Teleconference Series
Sponsored by the Cannon Financial Institute

Kish Bank is hosting the continuation of the 2014 Estate Planning Teleconference Series on Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at 12:30 p.m., featuring nationally renowned estate planning attorneys.  It is our pleasure to invite you to join us for this Kish Bank Complimentary “Lunch and Learn,” with CE credits available, including CLE and CPA/CPE.

April’s seminar will present “Deft Diplomacy: Designing and Administering Discretionary Trusts”. The speakers will focus discussion on the recent changes to estate planning and fiduciary concerns relevant to today’s current issues and complexities in your estate planning practice.

Trust instruments frequently contain provisions conferring discretionary distribution authority on the Trustee and defining the extent of that authority. The lawyer preparing the trust instrument, and the Trustee interpreting and implementing what the lawyer has written, must engage in a complicated balancing of the intentions of the settlor and the current and anticipated future circumstances of the beneficiaries. In this teleconference, we will discuss the following:
• Various discretionary distribution approaches and standards
• The necessity of considering a beneficiary's other available resources
• Structuring and implementing incentive trusts
• Tax consequences that flow directly from how a discretionary trust is designed

A luncheon will be hosted beginning at 12:30 p.m. in the boardroom at Kish Bank, North Atherton, 2610 Green Tech Drive, State College.  The conference call commences promptly at 1:00 p.m. and continues until 2:00 p.m., followed by a half-hour Q&A session.

Please contact me to register by Friday, April 18th. Seating is limited so I encourage you to make your reservation as early as possible. If one of your colleagues is interested in attending, please extend this invitation to him or her. Also, please watch for new dates and estate planning teleconference offerings soon to be announced for 2014.

We hope you can make it to this CE workshop. Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me directly at 861-4660 x8277 or by e-mail at daniel.keane@kishbank.com.
